How do I care for my candle?

Each one of our beautiful candles is hand poured, in-house within Australia. We take great pride in ensuring that our entire product range is quality made to perfection and customised to meet your expectations. In order to maintain safety and the best performance from your candle, it is important to give your candle a little extra care by following a few simple instructions below:

1. Remove all crystals before lighting your candle. This will better preserve your crystals and allow for a stronger scent throw.

2. When lighting your candle for the first time, please allow the wax to melt to the edges of the jar before blowing out the flame. This will allow for a clean and even burn in the future.

3. To ensure safety, only light your candle in a ventilated area and never leave a burning candle unattended or burning for longer than 3-4 hours at a time.

4. Use a snuffer or blow out your candle when finished.

5. Once the wax has cooled and set, trim the wick to approximately 6mm before relighting your candle to avoid mushrooming.

6. Cease use once the wax reaches 1cm from the bottom of the jar.

Wait, don’t throw out your candle jar! There are many fun and creative ways to reuse it. First, simply wash out any leftover wax with soapy warm water, and then you have a new pencil holder, a vase, a toothbrush holder or a trinket dish. We encourage you to think of some other ways to reuse the jar and would love to see your ideas.

Are your materials tested on animals?

No, Sixth Batch products are never tested on animals. We carefully select ingredients that are ethically sourced and cruelty-free.

What kind of wax do you use?

Sixth Batch candles are crafted from ethically sourced, high-quality materials. Our soy wax is carefully selected and:

  • Non-toxic
  • Meets FDA standards for food-contact wax
  • Kosher certified
  • Completely natural
  • Burns clean
  • Free from GMOs
  • Free from animal-derived ingredients
  • Not tested on animals

Every candle is designed to provide a safe, sustainable, and luxurious experience.

What type of wicks do you use?

Sixth Batch wicks are made from premium, lead-free cotton. They are designed to provide a clean, safe burn, while minimising soot and mushrooming.

Can I recycle my Sixth Batch candle jar?

Once you’ve finished burning your candle, gently wash out any remaining wax with warm, soapy water. You can reuse the jar as a vase, pencil holder, makeup brush container, or any other creative idea. We encourage safe and responsible reuse.

ORDERING

Can I cancel my order?

You may cancel your order within 1 hour of placing it by contacting us here. Please note that we cannot guarantee your order can be cancelled once it has entered fulfilment. However, we will always do our best to accommodate your request.

How can I check on the status of my order?

We will update you on the progress of your order via email.

When your order has been dispatched you will receive tracking information to check on the status of your shippment.

If you have not received your dispatch email within 48 hours of placing an order, please contact our customer service team here who will be happy to assist.

When will my order be dispatched?

All orders are processed Monday - Friday and we aim to have your goods dispatched within 1-2 business days. We recommend checking your tracking number soon after you receive it, so you can keep a close eye on the parcel(s).

Where will my order be shipped from?

All orders are shipped directly from Perth, Western Australia.

What are your shipping rates within Australia?

We offer FREE shipping on all orders over $99 or a Flat-rate shipping of $9.90 on orders under $99.

Express shipping is also available for $14.90.

What are your standard shipping times?

Standard Shipping

Parcels sent via standard shipping are expected to arrive within 2–8 business days after dispatch.

Express Shipping

Parcels sent via express shipping are expected to arrive within 1–4 business days after dispatch.

Please note that shipping times may occasionally be longer due to factors outside of our control, such as delays with the shipping carrier.

Are my credit card details secure?

Yes. Sixth Batch takes customer data security seriously. Our store is powered by Shopify, which is Level 1 PCI DSS certified – the highest standard in payment security.

All credit card information is encrypted during transfer, and we never store your payment details on our servers.

What do you do with my personal details?

We use your personal details primarily to fulfil your order and provide you with the best possible service. This includes processing your purchase, shipping your items, and communicating with you regarding your order.

I have received my order but I realised I picked the wrong item

We stand behind our products and sincerely hope you love them as much as we do. If you are not satisfied with your recent purchase, we can arrange a refund or exchange, subject to the conditions outlined in our Refund Policy .

Please ensure the item is returned in its original condition, including all packaging and accessories, and contact us at info@sixthbatch.com.au for assistance.

I have received my order but have changed my mind

We stand behind our products and we sincerely hope you love them as much as we do. However, if you are not satisfied with your recent purchase, we would be pleased to arrange a refund or exchange as detailed in our Refund Policy

My product has been damaged in transit

We’re sorry to hear this. If your order has arrived damaged, please contact our customer service team within 7 days of receiving your order to arrange a replacement. You can reach us at info@sixthbatch.com.au.

To process your replacement, we require your order details and images of the damaged item(s).

Please note: Sixth Batch is responsible only for replacing items damaged during transit, not your entire order. You will not be charged for the delivery of replacement items.

My product is faulty

We are sorry to hear this, please contact us here and we will be happy to assist you.

Please include the following:

- Order Number:

- Item name/number:

- Photo(s) and a description of what has occurred to assist you and mitigate any possible future issues.

If your item is deemed faulty, we can offer you either a product replacement or full refund. Sixth Batch reserves the right to select which outcome either refund or replacement best suits your situation.

Refunds will be processed promptly to the same payment method that you originally made.

Please note, it may be requested that the product is returned to Sixth Batch, if this is the case, Sixth Batch will cover any costs involved with returning shipping due to product fault.

All Sixth Batch products come with a 30 day money back guarantee for your peace of mind!

We are confident that you will be absolutely delighted with the quality and value of our products. If you are not totally satisfied for any reason or if you have changed your mind about your purchase, you may return the product to us within 30 days of the date you received it for a full refund of the purchase price. You will be responsible for the shipping costs irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

If you exercise your rights under the 30-day Money Back Guarantee, you:

(a) must notify us in writing within 30 days of the date the product being delivered to you by sending an email to info@sixthbatch.com.au

(b) must provide us with proof of purchase

(c) must return the product to us in its "as-new" and original condition with all internal and external packaging, accessories, tags, labels and manuals complete and intact. The item is NOT used, worn, assembled or damaged, and is in 100% re-sellable condition when we receive it

(d) you need to send us photos of the product in original packaging

(e) must return the item or product to us at your own cost

If you received free postage with your item, a 20% postage fee will be deducted from the refunded amount.

The following products cannot be returned/refunded due to a change of mind:

  • All forms of clearance stock
  • Products assembled/used

Sixth Batch reserves the right to decline any return/refund of products not in as new and original condition and original packing.

Items not returned in their original packaging are subjected to damage or soiled whilst in transit. If we accept a return in packaging other than the original packaging, at our discretion, a minimum re-packaging fee may apply. In such cases you would be responsible for ensuring the product is packaged in a manner that would prevent damage during transit.

Sixth Batch will not accept any return/refund request with no packaging.

Refunds are generally processed within 7 days of receiving your item back.

We reserve the rights to refuse provision of services to you if you abuse your rights.
